Christopher McCormick

Christopher develops talent for the future. He empowers teams by leveraging his experience building an HR strategy that puts coaching and developing people at the heart of what they do. In 2024 he was recognized by The Continental Who's Who and The Marquis Who's Who for professional integrity and outstanding achievement, and named a "Top 5 Leaders Redefining Success" by MagnateView in 2025.

He was also named "Most Visionary & Influential HR Professional" of 2023 by CIO Today Magazine and one of "The 10 Most Influential HR Leaders To Follow" by CIOLook in 2022.

Most recently at Gilead Sciences as Sr. Director of Talent, Development & Inclusion, Christopher defined the capabilities and frameworks required to support organizational health, team development, change management, and coaching. Prior to Gilead, he spent two decades in HR leadership roles at Blue Shield of California, HP Inc., Starbucks, and a 15-year career at Bank of America.

Christopher holds a BFA from Webster University. He previously advised the Building Innovative Leaders program with Stanford Executive Education, and designed the Growing Innovative Leaders program in partnership with National Taiwan University EMBA. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt, a NeuroLeadership Institute Certified Facilitator, a Senior Professional Career Coach (SPCC) through the IACC, and a frequent panelist and lecturer at Golden Gate University.

Recognitions include six OnCon ICON Awards for Top 50 HR Professionals (2021–2026), HP's Leading the Way Award, the Spirit of Starbucks Award, a Brandon Hall Award for Best Learning Team, and two Bank of America Awards of Excellence.
